  1. Fall and Halloween. It’s cool weather, leaves crunching, hot spiced drinks, and LOADS of scary movies!!!

  2. My favorite season is Fall because of the temps, smells and colors. I like to read books with a winter setting. I like my books dark and winter fits that atmosphere! thanks :)

  3. Honestly… I’ve never been too scared by books. Movies I’ll get scared of, but I can’t actually think of a book that made me feel scared. Recently, though, The Murmurings probably came the closest. It’s got some creepy elements with strange ways that people die, so if you’re into scary books, that’d be my biggest rec for recently published books.

  4. What is your favorite season and why?
Autumn. Love the nice weather. Not too hot, not too cold.

Is there one that you find yourself reading more during?
    Probably Summer and Winter.

And in books, do the seasons within them have any affect on you?
Definitely, since they affect the characters, and how the character feels affects the reader.

Tell us about a book you read, in which the weather or season(s) sticks out?
Shoujo mangas set in the rainy season are wonderful, especially when the girl has forgotten her umbrella and the guy shares his as he walks her home after school.

  5. Ashley Morrow says:

My favorite season is spring because it warmer outside but not too hot. I love getting new clothes for the spring. I think I read more in the winter, because I go outside less often. The seasons in books don’t really have any affect or stick out to me.

  6. hmmmm… The scariest book I have read would have to be Lord Loss…. It is a book in The Demonata Series by Darren Shan… What made it so scary?! The creatures and the gore and the setting is what creeped me out totally! It was a really great book series though and one I would strongly recommend. Thank you for this awesome giveaway! Also, seasons in books do not really bother me that much. As long as it is a good read and I can enjoy the characters.. I am usually pretty happy.

  7. As a child I was always scared of ghost stories, because they always were so creepy!

  8. I have to say my scariest book is IT by Stephen King. PennyWise still scares the crap out of me. Because of him, I don’t like any clowns. LOL

  9. Destiney Rice says:

I haven’t read many scarey books. However the Dark Secrets series by Elizabeth Chandler was a great thrilller and def left me with goose bumps. I carried those books around with me everywhere because they were so good I didn’t want to put them down. The book gave me goose bumps because I wasn’t sure if the crazy things happening to the main charaters was the result of a ghost or some other paranormal being. over all it was a great series and i have read it more than once :)

  10. nicole krutz says:

i like fall because it is still warm and with the leaves changing colors its also beautiful!

  11. I love the autumn best - crisp cool air, sometimes warm enough for just tshirt and jeans, sometimes you need a sweater, but it isn’t muggy at all like the spring. Love the autumn! I read the same no matter what the weather, but I suppose from years and years of schooling, you tend to read more naturally when fall hits!

  12. I find things I love about all four seasons! I tend to read more in the fall and winter, guess because it’s cool. :D

  13. Mary Ann Woods says:

Always read more in the winter. I love Christmas/winter themed books.

  14. Fall, because my birthday is during Fall, so is Halloween, and I love the weather. I read msot in Summer because I’m off of school then. The most recent book I read with weather was Graceling, when they were in the snow.

  15. Kathleen says:

What is your favorite season and why?
Easy peasy answer; SPRING is my favorite season! It is sunshine without unbearable heat, a sense of renewal and rebirth, and DAFFODILS!
Is there one that you find yourself reading more during?
I probably read more in the Winter than the other seasons. It’s probably just because I am indoors more often.

  16. Lisa Richardson says:

I probably read just a little bit more in winter because in summer I am outside working in the garden while the sun is shining. In winter I like to cuddle up for the evening with a book and a cup of tea.

  17. vanessa K. says:

my favourite season is winter. And i probably read more in the summer due to summer vacation.
and I don’t really care about the season my book took place in.
And my favorite horror story is malice. And I thought it was scary because i was reading it at night and it was a horror story,

  18. Evette Torres says:

I love love love scary books! I have read many goosebumps and watched the tv show when I was younger. I really like reading R.L. Stine books. One that I remember and still own is R.L. Stine’s The Nightmare Room: Don’t Forget Me! I also am a huge fan of Stephen King. One of my favorite’s is CELL. The book was so scary and so good I read it in one night, I just couldn’t put the book down. There’s also The Shining that I read that’s good and coincidentally I read that book when I was staying at a hotel for a couple of nights. There is also this book I read called CreepyPasta. It is filled with short scary stories. I read this and had to keep the lights on at night because some of them really creeped me out. Thanks for the giveaway! :D

  19. alicia marie says:

I don’t think I really read a lot of scary books anymore. I loved Goosebumps and Fear Street and any Christopher Pike growing up, but one that sticks out now is Red Rain by R.L. Stine. It’s an adult novel I read by him recently and I’m pretty sure it freaked me out a bit and that I remember really liking it too : )

  20. Meghan Stith says:

I read more in the summer because I have more time on my hands and TV is not that good during the summer season!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

    • Hi there! I’ve actually never read any zoombie books! Any recommendations?? And about the giveaway, unfortunately it’s U.S only. We’ve not figured out a reasonable way to ship books overseas. Thanks for visiting! (And check back, we will be doing some international, via book depository, giveaways soon!).

  22. Valerie says:

I love Dystopian books but hope our future is nothing like any that I read!!!

  23. My favorite scary book is Bag of Bones by Stephen King. I remember thinking that it was so big that I would never read it all, actually I read it quite quickly. I was about 12 years old. It was scary because I could picture myself inside the story.

  24. The Tragedy Paper was a book that happened during winter & it really stuck out for me. I’m not sure why, but it just does.

  25. Judy F. says:

Any book by Stephen King! All his books creep me out. Misery is probably the one that creeped me out the most. Definately hard to forget & enough to give you nightmares.

  26. I love spring the best because of the warmer weather and everything is in bloom.
