In this section we focus on art, music and everything in between that has been inspired (or brought us inspiration) from the written word.

It goes without saying (as this is a book blog), that we are completely passionate about the inspiration these stories bring to our lives. HOWEVER, you’ll find this portion of our site to be an exception. It is our little cubby-hole, so to say… our childish collection (and yes, sometimes hoarding) of things we find special. But unlike our kindergarten selves, what we hope to do here is share… share the inspiration we find within other people’s inspiration. This space is especially dedicated to our book illustrators, plot translators, you-tube creators, and music serenader’s. I mean, how awesome is it during those: “I’m-up-way-too-late” moments, but yet “I just have to know what that character might look like!?!”. And voila, one Google moment later and there are pages full of illustrations that were created by meager fans, just like you or me (well meager [MUCH more talented] fans than me.. just sayin’). It’s also about that really great critic who helps us understand the hidden meanings beyond plot, or that musician who creates the perfect piano piece to fit the story, or those crazy kiddos who put together a stellar YouTube trailer of a book we were considering to buy. They seem to do it for nothing more than the joy they get out of doing it. But let’s be honest- it always feels nice to know that other people are digging our work. So here (in what we like to think of as the dessert corner of our little blog) we want to celebrate and share with you the creativity that has made us smile. It is a desire deep within our hearts’ to provide a setting where these “artists” are able to shine. We want to give them the spotlight for a change. We want them to know that they too have given us a gift, and that they have our admiration and appreciation. We just simply delight in the talent and gifts that our fellow book lovers bring into our worlds! Therefore it is our hope that this be a place where any expression of individuality can be cherished and all versions of originality can be recognized! And just as importantly, we look forward to seeing what you, our fellow followers, have tucked away within your pockets… those little treasures that fuel the flame of imagination. Yes! Inspire us please. So that we may go forth and be ourselves… inspirational.
