What do you get when social network meets shopping? A new obsession. That’s what WaNeLo is! Pronounced “wah-ne-loo”, you’ll find this to be a spot full of all your “WAnts, NEeds and LOves”. For fans of Etsy and Pinterest, this will be your new Utopia! Essentially what they’ve created here is a social network that brings together unique and unusual items from all over the web into one awesome mega-market. But even if you aren’t looking for another website to waste any more of your time, this is still a great site to find pins to add to your existing boards on Pinterest! A recent market research revealed that this site was among the top 20 providers of Pinterest images (which is how I came across it). So, what makes it different from Pinterest you may ask? The focus at WaNeLo is commerce. So no more finding items you just have-to-have and then low and behold, their links lead down the road to nowhere! Even more, the “collection” nature of the site makes it so easy to browse. For example, a simple “Hunger Games” search brought me various items such as the following, along with where they were sold, for how much and direct link access to specific sites:

Then, much like Pinterest you can “save” the items you like to your own collection/s (which is what I did with the items above) or you can help the community grow by linking your own personal favorites for others to enjoy. But perhaps you like to keep your love for books between the pages and are just interested in finding quirky, eye-catching items for your house! This place finds every little oddity out there and pipes it into one place, which is where I waste most of my time, on the “trending” section of the homepage. I’ve also discovered some super cute new shops while browsing, such as Opulent Items who offer the savvy fish tank below and Supermarket HQ which sells the sweet little pink USB “Key”, just to name a few. Like I said before, this is social network shopping folks, which means you can share your sweet finds with all your friends! And voila, this mass-marketplace has become specialized just for the target market of “you” and “me”. It’s like treasure hunting that simultaneously helps satisfy my shopping needs without having to spend money (hmm hmm well at least most of the time lol). We don’t know about you, but we really can’t wait to see how the Hunger Games movie turns out. We have gobs of hope, oodles of wonder and only 17 days left to find out how this beloved book of ours gets adapted to the big screen. So here we are, submitting to our geeky obsession and jump-starting this party- we’re going to spend the next few weeks having some HG fun =) So for today, we’ve done some searching and filled up our shopping carts with loads of Hunger Games delight. 1. The Archers Necklace. This would be a cute subtle way to show your HG Games love.
2. The Daisy Ring. This teeny little ring is so sweet and so simple that it looks like something Katniss would have worn herself. We included it in this collection because daisies are so special to this story.
3. Cinna’s Ring. This ring looks antique and unique but then becomes something magical when it’s “on fire”.
4. The Mockingjay Pin. We had to include one in here, just in case some of you want to wear one along with Katniss during the film.
5. The Real or Not Real- Locket. What a special locket this is, with some of the sweetest words from the series captured on the inside.
6. A Mockingjay Bracelet. This is an everyday bracelet that isn’t obvious fan-wear but can be there subtly to remind you that love brings the greatest sort of strength and courage.

8. Show Rue the Love. This is a sweat little necklace for those of you who just loved little Rue.
